...was founded in October 1983 by a small group of golf enthusiasts to follow up one of the best sports of the world in the region of Paderborn.  In 1984 the construction of the first 9 holes started. First there were only a small manageable number of golfers who spend their free time on the beautiful grounds at so called Thüler Glockenpohl in athletic competition with each other.

It was the great demand, which required an expansion of the square in the years 93/94 to an 18-hole course. The course is considered one of the most beautiful and - as a golf course according to international criteria evaluation revealed - one of the most challenging golf courses in our country.

Since June 2006 between the small villages of Thüle and Scharmede a golf course with 3 x 9 holes is available - with combinations that provide all, beginners and pros, the best and most interesting opportunities to play.

With the increasing number of club members the also as a club house used old Heuerling house was too small. So a new clubhouse, at the same time with the first expansion of the first golf course in 1993/94, was planned and built.

An additional practice area with driving range, chipping and putting green and a 3-hole short course is at the disposal of the now over 1,000 club members. Among four golf pros there are two fully qualified golf teachers who will give you an understanding of the secrets of golf. No beginner is able to escape them. Before a new driver is allowed to drive on the street, he has to get his licence. The driving lessons prices are pretty much the same. How expensive the license will be at the end individually depends on yourself. To the golf beginner  it is similar. Previous to the free play there is the handicap. Without it there is no admittance worldwide. And therefore it is the same in Thüle.

Playing golf is able all the time, from time to time it may be reduced somewhat. On Monday golf course maintenance is called for. You should prioritize the green keeper. Tuesday is "Ladies Day" in the golf world, at the Golf Club Paderborn in the summer months from 14.00 clock. The Wednesday afternoon is traditionally reserved for the men. Thursday is the youth day, but only from about 16.00 clock. Before that the seniors play their tournament every 2^nd week.

Worldwide, this appointment is in a tacit agreement handled similarly. Where a gentleman's agreement no longer applies, it requires the rules. Meanwhile, there are 4383 rules.
